$20 July Sunday Leather Working Workshops in Logan Square at the Bird Trouble Nest


Where? Logan Square, Chicago Bird Trouble Nest @ 3743 w Armitage Ave.

Why? To make some cool functional leather art.

How long? 30 minutes to 1 hour.

For who? You & anyone, any age!

Each leather working workshop is only $20 for each person. Pay with cash or card when you arrive. Stop in any time between 2-4pm.

Included: some lights snacks + non-alcoholic drinks so COME ON DOWN, workout that creative part of your brain.

7/7 @ 2pm - 4pm : Create leather Best Friend Key Tag with your BFF - buy 2 for only $30, saving $10

In this class, you’ll learn how to properly set up vegetable tanned leather for stamping, you’ll stamp it with letters and decorative designs with a hammer, you’ll color dye it, and you’ll set the rivet in place.

7/14 @ 2pm - 4pm : Create a leather Janis Medicine Bag Necklace

Medicine Bags are super unique. It’s basically a bag the size of your hand with a drawstring closure and a neck strap. Choose the pieces of leather that we cut out from our scrap bin, combine them how you want, choose your hardware, and set your rivets.

7/21 @ 2pm - 4pm : Create a leather Business Card Holder

A functional accessory you can use yourself or gift to a friend. Choose the pieces of leather we cut out from our scrap bin, color dye it, stamp initials or a word or a decorative design into them, combine them how you want, choose your hardware, set your rivets.

7/28 @ 2pm - 4pm : Create a leather Beer Coozie

Bet you’ve never made yourself a beer coozie before! This will be a fun session that includes most of the above listed things you’ll do. In this class though, you’ll get to do light hand stitching that will be done with a hang sewing needle.
