Ready To Ship orders are shipped via USPS First Class or Priority within 24 - 48 hours of the order being placed.

Orders placed 9.8 - 9.13 will be shipped 9.14. Thank you for understanding and for your business!

All custom order purchases, Design You Own purchases, and Previously Made purchases are made to order. Since each bag is typically made one at a time, the turnaround time for shipment is generally 3 to 6 weeks after your order is placed. This turnaround time will vary depending on demand. You will receive an email with a shipment confirmation and a tracking number once it is shipped.

You will be redirected to a form from MOONCLERK when signing up for a 3 month payment plan. This site is 100% safe and respectful. All Payment Plan purchases are made to order - they are packaged and shipped within 24 - 48 hours of final payment.

We are happy to consider rush orders if our production schedule allows for flexibility. Please reach out via email or the contact page prior to placing your order.

Goods are guaranteed for craftsmanship. We will re-stitch broken thread, replace broken rivets, and replace faulty zippers within 5 years of your purchase.

The customer is responsible for the shipping costs. Bird Trouble will pay for shipping costs back to the customer.

Repairs or replacements will be rejected at our discretion if we find that our product is defective and that the repair is not covered within craftsmanship terms.

We reserve the right to decline complementary repairs but we will give you a tip on where to go.

After purchase upgrades like pockets, handles, a longer strap, monogramming, hand-stitching, re-dye and some lining add-ons are subject to an invoice charge. Please contact us to request an upgrade. The customer is responsible for shipping costs for any add ons.



We do not accept order changes on the design of Made To Order purchases, Design Your Own purchases, or any custom order after 48 hours from order being placed. We do not accept order changes on the design after 4 weeks of Payment Plan orders being placed. These order changes include: wanting to change your mind about the leather + color used for the bag, the bag style itself, the size of the bag, and the leather used for the fringe.

We will accept the following changes if it’s not too late in the hand crafted process: wanting to change the color of hardware you want, wanting to add a few upgrades like handles or hand-stitching. We’ll only accept changes that don’t include un-stitching. Un-stitching will weaken the quality and I don’t stand for that.

The reason we have these boundaries is because Bird Trouble is a very small business so this protects our material investments and the business itself. We live in a messed up return-immediate-gratification-society (yeah I just made that up but you’ll see the point at the end) where Nordstrom will let you return a product after a year. After you use it. I can not accept this as a small business. Bird Trouble is hand crafted products made by (usually only) 2 hands and those hands have boundaries. :-)

Returns / Exchanges

Please email us if we've failed to meet your expectations and you'd like to discuss a return or exchange.  We are happy to issue one as long as your good is in UNUSED condition.  We are not responsible for your return during postal transit so please consider adding insurance and saving your tracking information.
