Bird Trouble is a grass roots artist built, American WOC own and ran, convertible leather bag brand. We are a sustainable, small batch, artisan business focused on selling online and traveling pop ups. Our bags and products are designed and handcrafted by founder Alexz Sandoval in McHenry IL and two production teams in Chicago, IL and southern Ohio. Alexz is a first generation American Mexican, a leather worker, an entrepreneur, wife, dog mom, and soon to be a first time mom. Designing, creating, sharing, & carving a unique path has been major constants throughout her life, giving her a drive to be an life long artisan. Alexz’s parents & grandparents who emigrated to the USA from Mexico taught her to have a strong and honest work ethic. In fact, Alexz’s grandpa was a tailor for a living so she’s been around sewing machines her whole life. Resilience, adventure, and public service runs strong in the Sandoval family - it’s no wonder Bird Trouble embodies the same qualities.
