DYO orders heading out! 📦 💌

I just finished making a handful of orders for Hayley, Courtney, and Lauren. They’re all so beautiful and I’m inspired to keep up with my blogging momentum so I’ll show you them below.

It’s been a dreary April here in northern Chicagoland so spending time inside with my leather and dyes has kept me busy in this Spring to summer transition. My fiancé and I recently moved to a new mid-century home after being in studio or one bedroom apartments in Chicago for 7-8 years. There’s a handful of lovely outdoor trails, big quiet open spaces, and wild life watching activities in our new area which keep me company during leather working breaks.

Being here is very inspiring… this home, this area, this time in my life personally and professionally. I am hammering my thoughts about business growth recently, how I can do it sustainably with a clear business plan. I feel anxious about it most times, in an exciting way but when I finish a slew of orders and sit back, reflect on my rewards of finishing these items, I realize the success I feel is what’s motivating me to grow. I know what my customers want, I have the facts in front of me every day. Plus, my fiancé says I have the grit to do it…and you know what, he’s right!

Each of these leather goods are going to repeat customers. These lovely folks - Hayley, Courtney, and Lauren put their trust in me to put my heart and soul into these pieces they helped me design. They were happy enough to come back after their first purchases to invest in more pieces and invest again in my small business. It’s just so special to me that my customers feel valued because that’s what I’m going for - their happiness - and that fills me with gratitude, pride, and appreciation.

I love seeing the styles and color combinations my customers ask me to execute when ordering from the Design Your Own collection. Right now I have a 2-4 week turnaround on these customs which is the quickest turnaround I’ve had in over 2 years. Orders are open, so if you are interested in your own, start to take a look at your options. Your leather options can be found at the bottom of my site and your style options can always be found in the Design Your Own collection.
