Summer Love | Design Your Own

Summer has arrived here in the Midwest’s northern Illinois with temperates surpassing 90 degrees at the beginning of our June. I live for this weather. Bird Trouble leather goods thrive during these months because ya’ll are most likely taking more adventures and hopefully spending more time outside, exploring.

I’m thrilled to share that I will be getting married at the end of July! So I personally will be taking a summer break from July 1 - July 31 so that I can be present during the final weeks of wedding planning. I’m doing it DIY style because why not? Haha! That being said, I will not be accepting new Design Your Own orders for all of July. I will keep the Ready To Ship Collection open and the 3 Month Payment Plan Design Your Own Collection though! So don’t fret, you’ll still be able to order your dream leather.

Here are some pieces I finished off during this month of June. I love how unique these are and truly, I haven’t handmade any of these more than once. I love sharing these completed custom Design Your Own orders so that it can bring inspiration to others who want to order.

My client went full on hand dyed Cheeky Gold leather for this collection! I used the vegetable tanned cowhide leather for the body and for the fringe on this collection. We kept the fringe natural on the rear so the dimension would POP after a patina was gained. These all include antique brass hardware to pull the gold tone out of the pink.
