This Design Your Own Batch Is Amazing!
Hello to Mid October!
I’m leaving for Spain in a few days and I’m wrapping up my latest Design your Own production. I’ve wrapped up a loooot this week in crunch time style. A huge, huge thank you to my customers for the support and dreaming up these unique custom leather beauties, and trusting me to make them for you! I hope they bring you a lot of joy just like what I experience when I handcraft these for you.
There are a lot of steps in making custom leather bags. From communicating with customers about specific requests, ordering materials, hand cutting or clicker pressing out the leather, to hand dying unique color variations to undyed leather, to punching holes, adding adhesive, cozying up with the sewing machines…
It’s a labor of love and I made this batch all by myself. I’m taking a break from hiring the production team and letting myself manage the work flow at a controlled pace, and I feel really good about the web store and my stockists being full of Bird Trouble!
I’m super excited to find inspiration in a new culture I haven’t experienced before and to come back feeling inspired to create. I’m hoping I can gather inspiration for styles in Spain and over the holidays I can sketch, pattern, and hopefully create a sample for in early 2024. Tis goals…
